Understanding how to drive more efficiently could save you a lot of money on your fuel bills. We estimate that after training you could save as much as two months’ worth of fuel. To help you adopt the techniques why not sign up for fuel efficient driver training?
Training normally costs over £40 per person, but for a limited time we are able to offer the sessions for £12 per person!
The training session will take around 50 minutes and the approved driving instructor will:
- be accredited by the Energy Saving Trust to provide training
- provide the car and insurance
- ensure that the training is enjoyable and will focus on giving you the techniques to enable you to drive more efficiently.
All you need to do is:
- arrange a suitable date and time with your local Energy Saving Scotland advice centre by calling 0800 512 012 and come along on the day with your driving licence*
- after making an appointment you will be sent an email confirming your training session and a link to our PayPal payment page for you to pay securely online. If you don’t have an email address you will be transferred to our delivery partners Changeworks Resources for Life who will process your payment on our behalf.
*Both parts if you have a photographic licence

Who can take fuel efficient driver training?
Any driver can call and organise fuel efficient driving training. If you are a high mileage driver, then the training will help you to significantly reduce your existing fuel costs. If you cover more than 10,000 miles per annum then this training is for you!

What are the terms and conditions of the training sessions?
- No driver disqualified for a period exceeding six months in the last three years or for a period exceeding three months during the past year, can undertake the training
- The training is not available for any driver aged 20 or under
- The training is not available for any driver that has held their licence for less than 12 months
- Payment is non-refundable but the training can be transferred to another driver if necessary
- If the individual has a photocard licence then both this and the paper part need to be presented on the day. Old style paper licenses need to be accompanied by photo ID, e.g. passport
